The Constitution of the International Relations Students’ Association (IRSA) requires weekly Executive Councils, run by the President, to which all Executive (i.e., elected) Members must attend at least 80% of Meetings. In IRSA’s 44th Year, the Office of the President determined that:
- Executive Councils should adhere to Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised (RONR) as recommended by the Alma Mater Society unless it disrupts Executive Council, results in undue harm to Executive Members, or inhibits the mandates of Executive Members.
- Auxiliary (i.e., appointed or recruited) Members may attend Executive Councils as a non-voting participant on application of their associated Executive Member starting on 06 July 2026 (except the Chief Director of Podcast, who may attend beginning 01 May 2026).
- Active (i.e., general) Members may attend Executive Councils as observers starting on 08 September 2026.
In alignment with the Office of the President’s accountability mission and its advocacy for Active Members, it publishes Executive Council Meeting Minutes on this page for public access. If you have any questions regarding the Executive Council, please reach out to president@irsaubc.ca.
