Introducing the 44th Office
Dutifully Upholding the Constitutional Standard with Honor and Integrity
The Office of the President, comprising Ellie Ju and Harris Tirmizi in the International Relations Students’ Association’s (IRSA) 44th Year, oversees all general operations of the Association. Ellie and Harris practice Sovereign Stewardship, seeking to use their Alma Mater Society (AMS) and IRSA mandates to maximize benefits for all Active Members while remaining bound by their legal, constitutional, and ethical obligations.
Ellie and Harris recognize the membership’s mandate in selecting IRSA’s Executive Team and commit to granting Executive Members autonomy while encouraging accountability. For IRSA’s Presidents of its 44th Year, innovative membership benefits and representation come only with top-down trust, bottom-up empowerment, and a flattening of Executive Member hierarchy.

44th Office Insignia
The heraldry of the 44th Office represents its commitment to the Constitutional Standard as prescribed by the Association’s Constitution and AMS governance documents.

The Motto
The Motto of the 44th Office, “Dutifully Upholding the Constitutional Standard With Honor and Integrity,” represents the solemnity and duty of the Presidents in adhering to the Constitutional Standard past all self-interest and negligence, where the Association’s integrity comes first, no matter the cost.
The Daffodil
The Daffodil symbolizes resilience and hope. It is in grey-scale to represent the foundational “Daffodil Collective” values of accountability, autonomy, and action in the Presidency that Ellie and Harris campaigned on and imbued in their Presidency.
The Compass Rose
The Compass Rose represents the Office’s role in guiding its Auxiliary and Executive Members through IRSA’s governance structure as they navigate towards perpetual excellence. It is a bronze-gold to represent the Office’s timeless mandate.
The Crown
The Crown’s five points represent the constitutional authority of each of the five portfolios overseen by IRSA’s Executive Members: Academics, External, Finance (The Treasury), Internal, and Presidential (The Office of the President). It is in Aurelian gold, signifying the pursuit of the highest constitutional standard.
The Wreath
The Wreath represents the set of standards, including rules, bylaws, and constitutional ethics, encircling the rest of the heraldry to show that the Office’s work remains bound by its legal, constitutional, and ethical obligations. It is green to represent the Office’s peaceful institutional nature.
The Annulus
The Annulus encircles the heraldry to represent the continuity of the Constitutional Standard and the authority of the Office of the President.
The Aureole
The Aureole encircling the annulus represents the inviolable nature of
the Constitutional Standard that endures beyond the Office’s work.
44th Office Committees
The 44th Office of the President organized two committees: the Electoral Committee and the Podcast Committee.
The Electoral Committee

The Electoral Committee serves as an impartial body that ensures compliance with the Electoral Standard—the set of policies, procedures, and bylaws that govern IRSA’s elections and voting. The Electoral Committee comprises an Executive Member, who is the Elections Administrator, and three Auxiliary Members, who are Elections Officers.
The Podcast Committee
The Podcast Committee develops and publishes IRSA’s podcast, The Global Get Down, to provide accessible political discourse to all Active Members. The Podcast Committee comprises the Chief Director of Podcast, Raza S., and Active Members.
